An annual event for the Puerto Vallarta gay and lesbian (LGBT) community and its supporters, one of the goals is to meet and enjoy our community, raise awareness, as well as fund raise for the gay-founded Puerto Vallarta Botanical Gardens. Diversity Day is a "mix-in" with other Botanical Garden guests, but gay men and women are encouraged to wear green shirts to show solidarity and strong numbers. 10am-7pm

Beef Dip Leather & Bear Week in Puerto Vallarta -  January 29-February 5, 2012
Steve Buczek's 9th Yearly Leather & Bear Week in Pueto Vallarta will occur from Jan 29-Feb 5, 2012. Gay entertainment hosts and venues for Beef Dip 2012 include Abbey gay hotel (host hotel), the Blue Chairs gay beach hotel, popular Club Manana, La Noche and The Palm Cabaret and Show bar. Events that week include the Beef Dip booze cruise, Canopy River zipline tours, and Off Road ATV adventures.

Vallarta Girl 2012 - February 16-20, 2012
After their first successful inaugural year in 2011, Vallarta Girl will be back in 2012 as many women and hip DJs return to Puerto Vallarta, one of Latin America's most popular gay vacation-resort destinations. From Thursday, Feb 16 through Monday, Feb 20, 2012, there will be events at the beaches, nightclubs, jungles, and rivers of Puerto Vallarta. Lesbian party-goers will enjoy 4 nights and 5 days of fun in the sun. Vallarta Girl events and attractions will include beach parties at El Dorado restaurant and Lido Beach Club, a jungle adventure in Nogalito with canopy zipline, nightlife parties at Hyde and other locales, the Cuale River horseback riding adventure, and final day brunch at famed Daiquiri Dick's. Puerto Vallarta Carnival Parade - February 18, 2012
Put on and sponsored primarily by the Puerto Vallarta gay community, but also including a number of straight accommodations, restaurants and shops, the Carnaval Puerto Vallarta (main website) parade itself is part of the local Mardi Gras festivities and in celebration of the coming of Spring. The very colorful and festive parade winds its way through the South Side where it is watched by thousands of locals and tourists. The Puerto Vallarta Carnaval Parade has expanded in 2011 to include Spring Fever set up by gay Club Manana and other locales. See photos from the annual Puerto Vallarta Carnival in 2010 and 2011. Art Walk - Old Town/Downtown 2013-2014
The Old Town Art Walk this year has some 9-10 participating Puerto Vallarta art galleries which host complimentary cocktail receptions and expositions on Wednesday nights from 6pm-10pm during the high season winter months starting November 2, 2013 until May 23, 2014. People wander from gallery to gallery in search of art, conversation and that near-perfect glass of wine. A good way to meet some Puerto Vallarta artists and make new friends. Galleries participating this year are Ana Romo Art Gallery, Arte 550, Colectika, Corsica Galeria de Arte I and II, Galeria Caballito del Mar, Galeria de Ollas, Galeria Uno, Pacifico Gallery, and The Loft Galeria (Other art stores and galleries in the downtown area are often open as well though not officially associated with the PV Art Walk). Puerto Vallarta Festival Gourmet - November 10-20, 2011
The annual Puerto Vallarta Festival Gourmet features the culinary talents of local chefs of Puerto Vallarta and Nayarit state. Some of the highlights of the Festival include cheese seminars, cooking classes, tequila madness night and the exceptional Gourmet Brunch at the Cafe des Artistes. Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe - December 1-12
The annual festivities of Our Lady of Guadalupe celebration, with its colorful religious processions from December 1-12, the most public and extended religious holiday in Mexico. The local gay community has sometimes participated on December 1, World AIDS Awareness Day. December 12th celebrates the miraculous appearance of the Virgin Mary to the peasant Juan Diego near Mexico City in 1531. 

Travel tips-advice: If you come during the winter months you might also want to consider checking out the following happenings and events: the downtown Puerto Vallarta Art Walks are every Weds, from early November until late May; the IFC International Friendship Club home tours are every Weds and Thurs, November to April; in early to mid-November there's the Day of the Dead celebrations on Nov 1-2, the annual Puerto Vallarta Arts Festival, the Sailfish Tournament, and the Festival Gourmet Nov 10-20; and in early December, don't miss the daily celebrations of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dec 1-12 with its processions through the streets of the city of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
