Vallarta Gay Pride Events and Parade
Update: Please note that Vallarta Pride is now a 12-14 day annual event that pays tribute to the gay and lesbian community with artistic and cultural events, films, concerts, beach parties and a lot of fun to show to everyone the fabulous diversity of the town as a place to live and visit. Pride was also created to showcase many of the unique elements in our LGBT community and area that have made Puerto Vallarta one of the top gay resort destinations in all of Latin America. This year's celebrations include a wide variety of events over a fourteen (14) day period from May 16-29th, 2016 and aim to inspire, commemorate and celebrate a vibrant gay community that through the years has created its own customs and traditions. Visit here for complete and up-to-date gay pride info about events, sponsors, photo galleries, news and travel deals. -------------- Vallarta has long been known as one of the premier gay-friendly vacation spots south of the border, so it should come as no surprise that sooner or later the local community would get itself organized and start its own Pride festivities and parade to celebrate its diversity and success here in PV, Mexico. The LGBT Pride festival also known as the first annual Vallarta Pride 2013 was held with great fanfare and success during the weekend of May 24-26, 2013 in the Romantic Zone or South Side. The local gay and lesbian community was excited and also very pleased with the support it received from local people and businesses as well as city hall officials which helped to make the gatherings and merriment successful in themselves, and also would hopefully give a boost to increasing tourism to our charming tropical beachtown. Quite a bit of entertainment and events were packed into those few days, including a popular Commitment ceremony of Los Muertos beach at El Lido, and the Gay Pride Parade passing through some of the Zona Romantica with celebrations afterwards in Lazaro Cardenas Park, the popularity of which surprised even the organizers. What started as a simple idea for a pride parade became a very well received and attended three day series of events which included beach parties, a fashion show, tea dance, the commitment ceremony, a public showing of the movie Frida, and much celebrating in the bars and nightclubs involved. Check out the pride 2015 (facebook) fan page for more information on developments and happenings for this year's fun and informative happenings. The events for Puerto Vallarta Pride 2013 were as follows: Launch Party
Queen and King Coronation

Vallarta Pride Fashion Show

starring Salma Hayek and Alfred Molina
